Drinking Water:

  • Four times a year, we conduct water quality parameter test by a government authorized organization.
  • We make sure our water meets the Department of Environment water quality standards.
  • All our water quality reports suggest that our water management system is a success.
  • Hence, our water is fully safe for health.

Process Water:

  • Our state-of-the-art machinery successfully reduces water consumption at our factories.
  • Our washing facilities are designed to minimize water consumption, compared to other washing facilities.
  • We focus on adding high efficiency technology. Therefore, we installed the ecofriendly ozone machine in our washing facilities, which makes it possible to get desired shades without the use of any water. Ozone machine enables sustainable washing processes.
  • Overall, we are using efficient water and toilet fixtures, water ball valves, low water-consuming chemicals, etc
  • We use high tech E-Flow machines to reduce chemical use. It uses significantly fewer chemicals than its alternatives.
  • We installed the Laser Machine, which helps obtain light PP Shade without the use of Potassium permanganate.
  • We use Ozone Machine which is able to get any desired shade without the use of chemical.
  • Our R&D department works continuously to substitute the use of hazardous chemicals and minimize the use of non-hazardous chemicals.
  • We are working with ZDHC and Detox programs, which aim to phase out the use of any hazardous chemicals by 2020.
  • We conduct regular training sessions, including both onsite and offsite training, and simulation training.
  • Training programs include Chemical Management System, Chemical Minimization, Chemical Risk Assessment, Control Measure, Appropriate PPE use, etc.
  • Our simulation training includes Chemical Spillage and Emergency Response Plan.
  • We have a strict policy to improve our ambient and indoor air quality on a continual basis.
  • We emphasize on improving Indoor air quality by ensuring effective ventilation facilities.
  • We are running a program on “air filtering houseplant for improving indoor air quality.” As part of this program, plants are placed inside our buildings to filter out certain harmful compounds in the air, making it much healthier to breathe for all employees.
  • This program follows NASA guideline for choosing indoor air filtering houseplant. After indoor quality inspection is implemented where needed, we place those houseplants to improve the air quality of that area.
  • To minimize dust or particulate matter, we always keep our surrounding environment free of debris.
  • Once a year, we conduct indoor and ambient air quality test by authorized third party organization to assess the risk and monitor the present status, as well as identify the control measure as per the hierarchy of control.
  • Anti-vibration padding is used in the foundations of generator sets and Fire Water pumps.
  • Generator sets are housed inside buildings so that the noise is reduced by the acoustic enclosures.
  • Thick walls and silencer systems enable generator and boiler to be soundproof from the outside environment.
  • We conduct Environmental Impact Assessment for every facility to focus on biodiversity conservation and the consequent preventive actions taken against the possible impact.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment takes consideration into noise, indoor and ambient air quality, GHG emission, safe disposal of wastage material, biodiversity conservation etc.
  • Natural habitats and protected areas in the immediate vicinity of our premises are protected from damage or exploitation.
  • All our staff are strictly prohibited from hunting, foraging, logging etc. in these areas.
  • Wetland and streams in the vicinity of our factory premises are protected from construction damages, such as soil erosion and sedimentation.
  • Careful measures are taken to compact the soil after refilling to avoid soil erosion and consequent soil import.
  • We Focus on installing high tech machinery with energy saving technology, reducing energy cost as well as providing a high level of efficiency.
  • We use various types of energy efficient machineries in all factories.
  • We have adopted inverter technology where possible.
  • We use servo motor, LED lights, energy efficient ventilation system, efficient machinery, heat recovery system from heated water, high SRI color in rooftop and hardcape, good insulation system etc.
  • We conduct energy audits to identify the sources of energy reduction.
  • We are very conscious about the impact of wastage on biodiversity and environment.
  • Thus, we implemented the 3R concept in our waste management procedure.
  • We have a strict policy to prevent disposal of any kind of solid waste on factory premises or surrounding water bodies like local pond, canal, river etc.
  • We run routine musical hours twice a day on each floor when all workers clean their own places and machines.
  • After onsite segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous solid wastes, it goes to the wastage store, which is then given to Government authorized waste collectors for recycle or reuse.
  • For waste water treatment, it passes through the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
  • We have 7 highly effective Biochemical ETPs, which comply with Department of Environment standards and internationally accepted standards of all our reputed clients.
  • Incineration boiler is being used to reduce 50% of our solid waste.
