Certifications

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification is the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It consists of high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain – from the harvest of raw materials to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, and all the way to labelling.

Textile products must contain 70% organic fibres in order to be eligible for GOTS certification. The certification requires compliance with social criteria as well.

Organic Content Standard (OCS) ensures trust in organic content claims. The OCS verifies the presence and amount of Organic Material in a final product. The certification provides a strong chain of custody system from the source of the organic raw material to the final product.

Independent evaluation and verification of Organic Material content claims on products are performed by an accredited third-party Certification Body (CB), ensuring it is transparent, consistent and comprehensive.

The OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 is a worldwide consistent, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished and finished textile products at all levels of processing, including accessory materials used. Tests conducted by the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 are comprehensive and has a strict catalogue of measures, with several hundred regulated individual substances.

The certification contributes to high and effective product safety. It confirms the human-ecological safety of textile products at all stages of production along the value chain.

On October 2019, Global Fashion Garments Ltd. (Azim Group) received the STeP certificate from OEKO-TEX. This certificate is proof of our capability to conduct “Made in Green” labelled production, in accordance to the requirements of STeP by OEKO-TEX and their 6 modules. These modules include Chemicals, Environmental Performance, Environmental Management, Social Responsibility, Quality Management and Safety – which are the parameters tested for the certification. We hope to continue to build on our successful relationship with OEKO-TEX.

The RCS verifies the presence and amount of recycled material in a final product. This happens through input and chain-of-custody verification from a third party. It allows for the transparent, consistent and comprehensive independent evaluation and verification of recycled material content claims on products. We are using RCS as a B2B tool to ensure we are selling quality products.
